The highlight of every Siem Reap trip is a visit to Angkor Wat, of course.
We were lucky to get a friendly and honest tuk tuk driver - Mr. Jok! For 5 USD per person, he basically brought us around for the entire day. I daresay it's a pretty reasonable price.

Bear in mind that while haggling is good, sometimes the cheap thrill that we get from knocking off a couple of bucks is so insignificant in contrast to how much that amount actually means to the locals - because the hard work that they do is their livelihood. In essence - while haggling is fun, keep an open mind and always try to pay a reasonable price (you can definitely do so without being ripped off as an ignorant tourist). To catch the sunrise, be prepared to rise at 4am or so and be whisked away to the Angkor complex!

Another highlight of the trip was our pretty comfortable stay at Mad Monkey Hostel.
Loved the "beach bar" at the top of the hostel - complete with sand and chill vibes.
Never got to use the pool though, but here's a photo of the pool area (it's really small! you won't actually get to swim. HAHA)
Temple Club:
Siem Reap was fun, but food options and prices tend to be touristy, and sometimes even pricier than it was in Phnom Penh.
Nonetheless, Angkor Wat was breathtaking. Do go as early as you can to beat the crowds and the heat - even by 9AM or so it will be sweltering hot, you will be so tempted to just pack up and leave!
Cheerios~
