Today, Aly asked me if I have seen a sign in Freiburg that points to Gurs. She is currently on exchange in America, and had just wrapped up a class about the history and the Holocaust.

I recall seeing that sign before (Gurs), but I never pressed on to find out about it. It did seem a bit out of place, given that it was different from all of Freiburg's other road signs.

Thanks to Aly, I found out more about it. Will never look at the sign in the same way again.
